Mumby’s Pie Company began with a simple desire to share our favorite dessert…pie! Every ingredient is hand selected for quality and freshness and each pie is handmade to bring you the best pies you’ve ever tasted.

Humble Beginnings
Harriet Mumby was born in Larkhall, Scotland in 1902. She came to the United States through Ellis Island as a baby with her family. Eventually her family made Flint, Michigan their home. It was there that Harriet grew up, started a family of her own, worked in an auto plant, and lived her life until she died at the age of 90. She was dedicated to her family, her church, and loved knitting and making pies.
“Nana” Mumby made the most delicious pies. She grew rhubarb and had pear, apple, and peach trees in her yard. She would often take her grandkids around Flint and Northern Michigan to pick fresh berries. She used all of this fresh fruit for making preserves, jams, and—of course—pies.
We at Mumby Pie Company want to continue “Nana” Mumby’s traditions and her love for making fresh pies by using many of her recipes for everyone to enjoy.
Mumby’s Pie Company prides itself in maintaining the cleanest kitchen to make and bake our pies. The pies are made in a licensed kitchen that may store peanut and nut products.
